Dear God,
It seems that the people mentioned in the bible that had zeal and power in You were not too popular with the worldly bunch of folks. In fact, one might say that people actually hated them. The cruelty that Jesus suffered is excruciating to read about.
Hatred can be a dark evil thing. It destroys and obliterates everything in its path. Hatred is a very strong and passionate emotion. I do not think it is totally from the devil though because your word uses it many times. Love what is good, hate what is evil. Is this like in math when a double negative equals a positive (the right side of my brain never could understand THAT concept, I just accepted it and went on because it IS correct.)
What is my point here? The people in the bible that loved You the most seemed to be the ones that worldly hatred rained upon the most through ungodly people. It is gonna get really bad for us Christians down here, isn't it? God, help me to love You and be bold and strong in You so that WHEN that does happen, it won't hurt so bad.
