Getting Close to 366 Letters .....

Dear God,

Well, I am getting close to writing 366 letters to You. I may just keep on going.

I have enjoyed trying to find correlating pictures and a bible verse or two to each letter. I have learned so much about You from writing and reading Your word everyday.

I can't wait for the "Love" on next years daily letter project.

Mini Musical....xo

Dear God,

Thank you for the final idea for my mini-musical. The last song will be called "Battle Cry".

Here are the titles:

5. Insanity Runs in the Family

What a line up.
What an aerobic work out.
Please give me the ultimate rhythm and rhyme for these songs. I know that You will and it will be AWESOME! I can't wait!

Musical Joy and Restoration...YUM!

Dear God,

It's gonna be a good weekend. I claim King David's psalm today:

I was reading in I Samuel how David was brought before Saul to play music because your spirit had left Saul. Help me to be like David as far as the music thing goes. You know that I love music. You know my heart concerning music. Make my heart full of musical joy again. Please replace Bland with Beautiful!

Communication Adventure


Dear God,

I marvel at two things almost daily:

1. The lack of intelligence in some folks
2. The abundance of intelligence in other folks

Somehow, I have to figure out how to deal with both sides of the see-saw regarding people in a way that is not insulting or degrading. I also have to do it with MY limited intelligence of it all. Man.......it is hard sometimes because it is almost like I have to speak many different types of languages to communicate even though we speak the same language. (Does that make sense?)

What an adventure communication is!

Dear God,

Life, the world, can and is a beautiful place.

I have been looking at web sights with some "remarkable" pictures of some of the places here on this floating rock.

Simply BREATHTAKING!!

I want to contribute beauty to this world. Your word says to think on things that are pure and true. Sounds like a good idea to me, Lord. Thank you for beauty and for the people that spend their time and efforts to make sure it is out there for everyone to see.

PaPeR!!!!

Dear God,

PAPER!!

Did Jesus have to worry abut all of the paper in His life? What was the equivalent of paper back in His day?

I cannot believe the amount of paper that passes through my hands in one day. In the morning, I read a book, bible, devotional or magazine. In the afternoon, WORK! I will say no more on that one. At night, mail and bills.

ALL Circumstances? OK!!



Dear God,

Give thanks in ALL circumstances for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
I Thessalonians 5:18

You know Lord, it is easy to write these words down. It is easy to think about these words and dwell on them. It is easy to print them out and tape them to my computer at work.

On the other hand:

DOING IT IS A WHOLE 'NUTHER STORY!

The "doing" of it is what will make the difference, not the dwelling on it.

Today, I will give THANKS for ALL circumstances in my life.

If:
*my computer messes up at work
*I get sick
*a customer is mean
*someone brings me flowers

Whatever it is, I will give thanks in Christ Jesus.

Help the Fatherless and Widows

Dear God,

Isaiah 1:16-17: WOW!!! Powerful!

Stop doing wrong, learn to do right!
Seek justice, encourage the oppressed.
Defend the cause of the fatherless.
Plead the case of the widow.

These are some very STRONG words. How often do I help the fatherless and the widows? Your word has countlessly mentioned them and that we should help them.

Help me to see and help these two types of folks, Lord. It is what Your word says to do.

Gotta use my: Money-Time-Prayer.

Poor Bathsheba.....:(

Dear God,

King David messed up a lot. I have been thinking about Bathsheba lately. I can't imagine how she felt.

One day, she was taking a bath and King David (the KING mind you) saw her, wanted her, had her brought to him, and she became pregnant. What was going through her head at this time? Was she scared. This was the King. She certainly couldn't go against anything he asked or did to her or she might die. She was a married woman, another man's wife. What would her husband say? I can only imagine what my husband would say and do and how hurt he would be. THEN, David had her husband sent to the front lines in battle so he would be killed. He was killed. That solved the problem. Oh, what a mess! Bathsheba lost her husband and that poor little baby died too...BUT, you blessed her with Solomon. You blessed the world through the lineage of Solomon with the birth of Your dear son, Jesus; our Lord and our Savior.

You took a very tragic and horrible event in the life of one woman and turned it into the most blessed event ever received by earth. Did she even know that the pain she went through grew the most precious flower? Do any of us ever know?

AMAZING! There is ALWAYS hope and healing when You are present!

Change-Same or is it Same-Change?



Dear God,

It is amazing to me to grasp the concept of CHANGE.

I think when a person FINALLY gets that NOTHING stays the same except YOU, it establishes a foundation that NOTHING can break.

To know that everything changes is awesome! To know that You NEVER change is MORE THAN AWESOME! (This sentence can't possibly make sense to someone that doesn't know You...can it?)

ROAR......With a Gentle Answer!!

Dear God,

I am fighting four big old lions today at work. HARD STUFF!!

The people are mad, mean, and ferocious.

I keep remembering that Your word says:

"A gentle answer turns away wrath"

OK....let's see how that works. When people holler, scream, and even use the "F" word at me, sometimes, well, it just ain't too much fun. In fact, it hasn't been FUN in a while. But sometimes, FUN has to be put aside to work and accomplish things. Life and work are not just about having FUN. Lions don't CARE about fun. They want me to pull the thorn out of their paws so they won't hurt anymore. That's WORK!

Help me fight the lions today.
