Joke'n Quote Friday♥Week #42

I tell ya, my dog is lazy.
He don’t chase cars. He sits on the
curb and takes down license

Work hard and become a leader;
be lazy and become a slave.

Original Song/Poem Thursday♥Week #42

Gray hair is a crown of splendor;
it is attained in the way of righteousness.

Proverbs 16:31

I Don’t Want to Be Round

As a woman gets older
Her body I’ve found
An odd shape starts forming
And that shape is round.

The stomach it pooches
The butt looks all wrong
Her boobs and her earlobes
Get floppy and long.

Dimples and wrinkles
Appear overnight
Brown spots and skin tags
It is quite a fright.

Toe nails get nasty
The hair on her head
Gets thinner and grayer
No “bouncy”, it’s dead.

But something else happens
As her body gives
Her mind starts to ponder
On the life she has lived.

Does the outward appearance
Really matter that much
It’s all about people
And the lives we have touched.

Before her life’s over
There’s still time to love
Round’s not so bad
It is better for hugs.

A well cushioned body
Is better to grip
Make someone else smile
Forget those round hips!

Signature Wednesday♥Week#42

A happy heart makes the face cheerful,
    but heartache crushes the spirit.

Proverbs 15:13

Growing up, I spent MANY hours
in front of a TV screen watching
"I Love Lucy".
I LOVE Lucy. Lucille Ball was the
star of the show. Along with her was
Ricky, Ethel, Fred, and Little Ricky.
I don't think I have ever watched
one episode that I didn't laugh.
NOW, my girls who are in
their 20's have discovered
"I Love Lucy" and they
love her too.
Lucille Ball,
THANK YOU
for your contribution to the world.
(btw, your signature if very difficult
to find online....)

There are three faithful friends:
 an old wife,
an old dog,
and ready money.

A friend loves at all times,
and a brother is born for a time of adversity.

Original Song/Poem Thursday♥Week #41

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Psalms 34:18

Love

On a day that was filled with sadness
With tears and sorrow and pain
I asked the Lord to restore my joy
I knew I could never be the same.

A person I loved had hurt me
It’s awful what silence creates
I asked the Lord through tears and grief
How someone could do me this way.

You created this person that hurt me
Their heart is not like a dear child’s
They’re cold and their cruel and bitter and mean
But they hide behind fake loving smiles.

They act like they’re living in wisdom
They don’t even see what they do
I think that I’ve figured it out my Lord
This person is still missing YOU.

The love that You give is eternal
Your Spirit inside us does dwell
If someone has You inside of themselves
The love only grows and it swells.

When people we love desolate us
And hurt us and leave us to die
That’s when You step in and hold our souls close
And whisper to us when we cry.

The person without you is empty
That’s why they treated me so
I will pray every day for their hearts to find
The joy and the love you bestow.

A man’s gift makes room for him,
and brings him before great men.
Proverbs 18:16

Pablo Picasso a was a Spanish
painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist,
stage designer, poet and playwright who spent most
of his adult life in France.
He was born in 1881 and died in 1973 at the age of 91.
I would say that he had a FULL life.
His art is AMAZING to behold.

I would like to say THANK YOU
Mr. Picasso for your contribution
to this world.

It's Been A While...

It's been a while since I posted on this blog. We had the tree removed and are on to the NEXT project that needs doing.

Have been spending more time writing in my other blog "A 100 Words a Day" because I am trying to write 100 words a day. I write more than that, I just need to have a more structured place to put some of the words that I write so I type them there. Working on my fourth unpublished book now. It is emotionally killing me. I am only on page 16 of page 366. Slow slow SLOW going!! I think because writing it is like giving blood. It drains me. (some pun intended)....

Should I go back to my original purpose of this blog before dad died. I wrestle with that because it was going so well before that happened. If I do, it will start on Monday. I'm not sure which Monday, but Monday for sure.

And now, a picture from my Yonder Hearts collection:

Every morning, I step on
Benjamin Franklin's face when I walk.
Doesn't everyone?
Happy Trails
Sorry Ben :(
