Pressure Hurts

Dear God,
PRESSURE.

Why is it that pressure produces strength, beauty, and durability? Pressure is uncomfortable and it hurts sometimes.

It is hard for me to comprehend that a diamond comes from coal simply because of pressure. What if coal refuses to be a diamond? What happens then? Does it disintegrate? Does it remain coal?

Does pressure HAVE to be applied to humans in order for us to become "diamonds" in this world?

Lord, help me in this time of pure PRESSURE. I know that the end result will be good, but oh how I am feeling it today!

Love,
Me:)

We are hard pressed on every side,
but not crushed; perplexed,
but not in despair;
persecuted, but not abandoned;
struck down,
but not destroyed.
II Corinthians 4:8-9
