Poor Bathsheba.....:(

Dear God,

King David messed up a lot. I have been thinking about Bathsheba lately. I can't imagine how she felt.

One day, she was taking a bath and King David (the KING mind you) saw her, wanted her, had her brought to him, and she became pregnant. What was going through her head at this time? Was she scared. This was the King. She certainly couldn't go against anything he asked or did to her or she might die. She was a married woman, another man's wife. What would her husband say? I can only imagine what my husband would say and do and how hurt he would be. THEN, David had her husband sent to the front lines in battle so he would be killed. He was killed. That solved the problem. Oh, what a mess! Bathsheba lost her husband and that poor little baby died too...BUT, you blessed her with Solomon. You blessed the world through the lineage of Solomon with the birth of Your dear son, Jesus; our Lord and our Savior.

You took a very tragic and horrible event in the life of one woman and turned it into the most blessed event ever received by earth. Did she even know that the pain she went through grew the most precious flower? Do any of us ever know?

AMAZING! There is ALWAYS hope and healing when You are present!

Love,
Me:)

One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the
roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The
woman was very beautiful, and David sent someone to
find out about her. The man said, “She is Bathsheba, the daughter
of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite.”
II Samuel 11:2-3
