Original Song/Poem Thursday♥Week #42

Gray hair is a crown of splendor;
it is attained in the way of righteousness.

Proverbs 16:31

I Don’t Want to Be Round

As a woman gets older
Her body I’ve found
An odd shape starts forming
And that shape is round.

The stomach it pooches
The butt looks all wrong
Her boobs and her earlobes
Get floppy and long.

Dimples and wrinkles
Appear overnight
Brown spots and skin tags
It is quite a fright.

Toe nails get nasty
The hair on her head
Gets thinner and grayer
No “bouncy”, it’s dead.

But something else happens
As her body gives
Her mind starts to ponder
On the life she has lived.

Does the outward appearance
Really matter that much
It’s all about people
And the lives we have touched.

Before her life’s over
There’s still time to love
Round’s not so bad
It is better for hugs.

A well cushioned body
Is better to grip
Make someone else smile
Forget those round hips!
